Cosmetology School Online???

At the Davines Professional Academy, we’re always looking to update and refine our practices to provide the most effective education possible to you, the students.

Starting in March 2020, we are now offering coursework completely online with our same great faculty and same great curriculum.

This is a great option to support students who cannot physically come to the school. Today is a great day for you to start your cosmetology career!

During the Coronavirus quarantine period as mandated by the Nebraska state government, ALL coursework is currently online.

1. What does the online classroom look like?

The online classroom is very similar to an in-person class, but even more fun because it’s like a giant FaceTime session! Our instructors lead instruction as they normally would in a traditional classroom, while students follow along from home. Students receive the same great instruction they would if they came into the school.

The classes take place using an online conferencing software called RingCentral Meetings, a free download for students, which is powered by Zoom.

2. What will I learn during online classes?

The Davines Professional Academy online curriculum is identical to the in-person curriculum. This includes the same great cosmetology education and our innovative new business curriculum.

3. What equipment will I need for online classes?

Attending class online is very flexible when it comes to the devices you’ll need.

The software we use can be installed on any Mac, Windows, iOS, or Android device running a recent operating system. Just be sure the device you choose has a microphone and camera.

You’ll also need a reliable internet connection.

The cosmetology equipment required includes everything that comes in the student kit you purchase when you enroll in school.

4. Will I ever have to come to school, or can I complete the whole program online?

Up to 900 hours of your cosmetology schooling may be eligible to be completed online, which is half the required hours to graduate. The remaining hours will have to be completed in our school in Lincoln.

Every person is unique and will have a different number of hours completed online vs. in-person, so reach out to us at [email protected] to discuss your education needs.

5. Will my cosmetology degree be any different than if I completed the entire program in person?

No. There will be no difference on your degree. You still get the same great credential from our fully-accredited academy.

Whether you attend online or in-person, you’re getting the same great instruction from the same amazing faculty.

7. Who will be teaching me?

All of our licensed instructors teach online, so you can rest assured you will be learning from highly-qualified educators.

8. How much of the program can be completed online?

You are eligible to earn up to 900 hours online. That is half of the required 1800 hours to graduate.

9. How flexible is the course schedule?
